For ForaVida® we built a realtime e-commerce super-engine on Elixir. Storefront, ERP, route planning and AI customer service stay continuously in sync. No lag, no nightly batches.
The situation
E-commerce often leans on slow batch syncs: stock lags an hour behind, orders reach the ERP with delay, customer service works off stale data. ForaVida® wanted a shop where every change (order, stock, price, status) shows up everywhere instantly.
What we did
We built the engine on Elixir, made for concurrency and fault tolerance. Exactly what realtime e-commerce demands. The engine connects the storefront (WooCommerce here, but it can plug into almost anything) to the ERP (such as AFAS), to the route planning/TMS, and to a custom-built AI customer service integration. All data flows pass-through: no personal data stored in the platform, the data stays with the client. Oban handles jobs, Postgres the state.
The outcome
The whole shop runs realtime. The platform scales effortlessly thanks to Elixir and is privacy-first: pass-through only. The engine is reusable. Other e-commerce businesses can plug in, with some custom work for their own systems.
